Christopher L. Stevens is a retired US Army strategic intelligence professional that served in the United States Army for over 20 years. Since his retirement, he has worked for the Transportation Security Administration, the Federal Air Marshal Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Office of Intelligence and Analysis, the National Security Agency (NSA), and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).
Mr. Stevens recently served as the ODNI National Intelligence Collection Officer for Africa and as a Senior National Intelligence Service Senior Executive until April 2016. In 2013, he completed a challenging two-year external detail at NSA. He has served as a Senior National Intelligence Service Senior Executive and as a certified Senior Intelligence Community Officer. He has served as a Center of Excellence in Government DHS Senior Fellow. He has completed several of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) certifications. He is an IAPP Fellow of Information Privacy and a member of the IAPP Privacy Faculty.
Chris has completed an M.S. in Strategic Intelligence from the National Intelligence University; an M.S. in Information Resource Management from Central Michigan University; and an M.S. in Transportation Security Administration from American Military University. He has completed graduate certificates in Strategic Leadership and Terrorism Studies. He has also completed the comprehensive examination for the University of Maryland-University College’s Doctor of Management degree program. He has taught as an assistant professor for the American Military University, the University of Maryland-University College, and Hagerstown Community College.
