CyberDefenses Appoints New Head of CISO Advisory Services, Continues Rapid Growth


Brian Engle Brings Expertise in Strategic Leadership, Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, and Elections Cybersecurity

AUSTIN, TEXAS – July 31, 2018 CyberDefenses, a premier Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) announced today that cybersecurity expert and risk advisor Brian Engle joins the team in the dual role of the company’s Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and the Managing Director of CISO Advisory. The addition of this role advances CyberDefenses’s strong cybersecurity guidance portfolio and further establishes the organization as a leader in providing cybersecurity services to state and local governments as well as private sector businesses.

Engle’s background is characterized by leadership roles that have helped define the cybersecurity industry over the last several years. His work experience spans large enterprises across many industries, including state government entities such as the State of Texas CISO and Cybersecurity Coordinator, Enterprise CISO at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) in addition to roles at Temple-Inland/Guaranty Bank and Silicon Laboratories. He is a cybersecurity community leader through organizations such as ISSA, ISACA and (ISC)2 and a co-founder of the Texas CISO Council. Engle is also the Founder and CEO of Riskceptional Strategies.
