Brian Engle Expands His Work in Building Full-Suite Security Programs for Organizations

May 4, 2021 – AUSTIN, TEXAS CyberDefenses, an award-winning Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) announced today the promotion of Brian Engle from the dual role of Vice President of Security Operations and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to Chief Operations Officer (COO) and CISO. Engle’s advancement to the COO role recognizes and expands his ongoing work in strengthening and refining the company’s operations across three core capabilities – cybersecurity advisory, darknet intelligence and Security Operations Center engineering services.

In the COO role, Engle will continue to serve as a key member of the executive leadership team where he is helping to shape the execution strategies that further the company’s growing frontrunner position as a cybersecurity services provider to Secretary of State offices, election authorities, state agencies and local governments as well as private sector businesses.

Engle is a well-respected leader in the cybersecurity industry with a successful track record of guiding organizations’ to improved security maturity and readiness. His work experience spans large enterprises, including Silicon Laboratories and Temple-Inland in addition to state government entities such as the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) and the State of Texas. He has also contributed to the industry through volunteer work and participation in a number of community groups and associations. Engle is also the Founder and CEO of Riskceptional Strategies.
