Illinois, Texas, California –

InfoForense (https://www.info4ense.com) and CyberDefenses (https://cyberdefenses.com) announced today joint capabilities to deliver incident response and managed security services as a comprehensive remedy to the recent attack on Microsoft Exchange.  The sophisticated HAFNIUM attack has potentially affected thousands of companies by exposing email servers to intruders with ongoing administrative access to the target’s servers. The two companies are combining their incident investigation and response expertise to deliver rapid assistance to affected organizations.

Microsoft is providing tools that on-premise Exchange Server customers can use to determine if they have been affected by the HAFNIUM attack. CyberDefenses and InfoForense are offering further support through an Exchange Zero-Day Attack Triage service. In addition to running the Microsoft script, the Triage service includes a thorough investigation to find indicators of compromise that can be difficult to identify with a script alone.

“For some time our two companies have worked together to provide our clients fast defensive intervention and enduring protection,” says InfoForense CEO Josh Fazio. “That combination is required now to deal with the widespread and ongoing damage from HAFNIUM and related attacks.”

“By augmenting our incident response resources with personnel practiced in law enforcement investigation, Josh and his InfoForense team complement our group with additional advanced forensics tactics,” says CyberDefenses CEO Armando Ordonez. “This alliance enhances our ability to respond to the HAFNIUM attacks and provide ongoing protection through our acclaimed security services.”

If a compromise is found through the Exchange Zero-Day Triage service, CyberDefenses and InfoForense can also assist organizations with incident response services that include a full investigation into the compromise across the client’s network and removal of the web shell, or attack agent, as well as network and system recovery.
